LBT Innovations has just announced that it has secured a US patent for part of the technology behind the new Automated Plate Assessment technology it is developing
The company is developing a novel approach to speeding and improving the processing of culture plates in microbiology labs – with benefits in rapid and accurate diagnosis. The technology it is working on has been developed in partnership under research contracts with the University of Adelaide’s Australian Centre for Visual Technologies
LBT innovations were recognised as a finalist in ARI’s 2014 Innovation Champion awards and they also generously gave their time, alongside their research partners in ACVT, to help ARI educate other researchers in how to forge effective collaborations with industry
It is a pleasure for us to work both with such visionary and entrepreneurial companies here in South Australia, and the researchers at the University who bring their expertise to help realise new technologies into products.
