The latest Hills Innovation Centre newsletter (500kb PDF) for March 2015 has been released. This is a quarterly publication produced to keep their stakeholders informed about developments in the Centre, located in the new Tonsley precinct in South Australia.
Key items of interest include:
- Applications for the third Hills Innovation Centre Pitch Day round are now open. Applications close on 10 April and shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend the Hills Pitch Day in Adelaide on Thursday 7 May 2015.
- The first major project to be supported and developed through the Centre is the Hills Health Solutions Arthritis Pendant Project. This is now almost complete and is anticipated to be available in July.
- The second major project to be supported is the Edisse Guardian system, which is a mobile/watch-based safety system designed to support active elderly people to remain independent in their daily life. Product development is well underway and it has an inbuilt global panic button, location tracking, smart alerts, customised rules and the capability for wearers to talk to their carers through the watch.
